Our client is looking for an experienced Development Manager to take responsibility for driving residential and mixed-use projects from land acquisition through to delivery. This is a key role within the development team, ensuring schemes are viable, deliverable, and successfully progressed through every stage of the process.
You will work closely with land, technical, commercial, and legal colleagues to appraise opportunities, manage planning and design, and oversee budgets and programmes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The role requires a proactive and commercially minded professional who can coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage complex projects with confidence.
Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting land acquisition and negotiation of development and legal terms
- Leading the coordination of planning applications, technical input, and statutory approvals
- Managing consultant teams and ensuring all supporting surveys, reports, and documentation are in place
- Overseeing project budgets, programmes, and risk management to meet business objectives
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes, quality systems, and sustainability standards
- Driving project progress, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth handovers to delivery teams
- Preparing appraisals, reports, and risk registers to support internal approvals and decision-making
