Build to rent developer, Goodstone, which was set up at the beginning of the month by the two former Essential Living co-founders, Darryl Flay and Martin Bellinger, have just secured its first development from Eutopia Homes, based in Digbeth Birmingham.
Eutopia secured planning permission for the scheme back in March, which includes 22,000 sq ft of landscaped private gardens, rooftop terraces, co-working areas and commercial and retail space which will be let at a discount to businesses in the local area.
The development was designed by Darling Associates and aims to deliver 50% savings in carbon emissions.
Martin Bellinger, principal at Goodstone Living, said Birmingham had a large pool of potential residents demanding high-quality, purpose-built and professionally managed rental accommodation which made it “the perfect place for our first development project”.
