3-month contract with potential extension | Competitive rates | Outside IR35 considered
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a residential developer in Winchester for an initial four-month contract, with the potential to extend.
The role will combine commercial management of new-build residential developments with support on buying and procurement. This would suit a commercially strong Surveyor who is also comfortable sourcing materials, liaising with suppliers and negotiating competitive terms.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments.
- Preparing cost reports, valuations and financial forecasts.
- Managing variations, commercial risks and project budgets.
- Assisting with material purchasing, supplier negotiations and scheduling deliveries in line with site requirements.
- Working closely with site teams to support delivery against programme and budget.
You must have proven experience at Senior Quantity Surveyor level on new-build residential developments, with a clear understanding of the complexities and pace of delivery. Previous involvement in buying or material procurement would be a strong advantage, alongside the ability to take ownership and contribute across both areas.
Competitive rates are available, dependent on experience, and the assignment can be offered outside IR35, subject to assessment.
