Winning team raises £10,000 for charity

On the same day that Surrey won the County Championship our MD, Ian Gray, put together an eight-a-side for the inaugural ‘Laureus Sport for Good Foundation’ competition at The Oval.

Ian was joined by a number of Ex England legends including Michael Vaughan, Monty Panesar, Matthew Hoggard and also the great Shane Warne, arguably the best bowler of all time

Whilst they lost their first game, they were victorious in the next three to reach the final which they won against a side with Matthew Hoggard, the ex-England opening bowler, and benefited from Yohan Blake, the second fastest man in the world guesting for Ian’s side, which he named “Under Cooked” for the event.
