Our client is a renowned and well-regarded house builder who have delivered high quality homes across Devon and Cornwall for the last 25 years. With an excellent land bank and project pipeline, WE are looking to add an ambitious, energetic and detail oriented Engineer to the Technical department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate and efficient cut and fill analysis for large scale construction and housing developments
- Design and assess drainage strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
- Provide technical input into the design and detailing of retaining walls and structures
- Lead the preparation and coordination of Mass Haul/Mass Material Planning (MMP) documentation optimizing earthwork logistics and material balance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, cost effective, and sustainable solutions
- Taking the lead in organising Ground investigation and analysing existing GI reports.
Required background:
- Experience in housebuilding is preferable
- Strong experience in earthworks design, drainage, and geotechnical solutions.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS or other earthwork / digital terrain modelling tools)
- Thorough understanding of technical detailing including Building Regulations and emerging requirements are essential.
