Thomas Gray is supporting an award-winning fire engineering and fire safety consultancy in the appointment of a Head of Practice to lead the next stage of its growth.
This is a rare opening to join a highly respected, owner-led consultancy with an established reputation for technical excellence, trusted client relationships and high-quality advisory work across complex built environments.
Working closely with the business owner and senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for developing and leading the consultancy practice, combining technical leadership with commercial strategy, key client engagement and the continued development of a talented team.
The role provides oversight across fire risk management, technical fire safety consultancy, fire engineering interfaces and complex advisory projects. You will strengthen quality assurance, develop professional standards, mentor consultants and support the growth of long-standing accounts while identifying new opportunities across the sector.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience within fire safety consultancy, fire engineering or fire risk management, alongside the technical credibility to advise senior clients and direct experienced practitioners. Commercial acumen, clear leadership capability and a genuine commitment to developing people will be equally important.
