We are delighted to announce two senior leadership changes, with Ian stepping into a new role as Chief Executive and Matt becoming the Managing Director of Thomas Gray.

Having established a market-leading reputation over more than 35 years, Ian will continue to lead Main Board, Divisional and Regional appointments in the UK and also focus on our strategic entry into aligned sectors, plus drive our international presence.

Both promotions represent significant milestones for the firm and in Matt’s 12-year tenure. Throughout his career at Thomas Gray, Matt has been a real driving force, consistently demonstrating the industry expertise and unwavering professional standards that define our business.

This evolution, founded on a legacy over 60 years ago, positions Thomas Gray for ongoing expansion across the Built Environment where the team remain dedicated in supporting our clients across Housing and Main Contracting through our three divisions. Our growth accelerates following the positive launch of our Interim division nearly two years ago and the recent addition of a specialist Social Housing, Safety and Compliance team.

 Matt continues to play a pivotal role in our development following a successful EOT transaction in 2023 and thoroughly deserves the promotion to Managing Director.

He has supported the hiring and training of our own team, while establishing governance, structure and process to enable the firm to further evolve and adapt.

A highly skilled recruiter in his own right, Matt works closely with a number of our key clients. He leads the way with our exacting standards and market intelligence, which anchor our success and facilitate the delivery of top-level service.
