We are representing, a leading 5* developer, looking to onboard a Senior Estimator to strengthen their Commercial team. You will take ownership of cost reporting while fostering collaborative relationships across the Land and Technical departments to add value at land viability and appraisal stage – challenging strategy and putting forward cost saving ideas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Viability: Reporting directly to the Commercial Director on land appraisal production and viability for all future business stages.
- Tendering Management: Overseeing the annual tendering process for standard products and coordinating with the wider team to ensure accurate information flow.
- Budgetary Control: Creating and monitoring budgets for sub-contractors, materials, prelims, and departmental fees (Technical, Sales, and Marketing).
- Operational Procurement: Managing sub-contract ordering, processing variations, and tracking land site margins to ensure profitability.
- Strategic Collaboration: Attending bid reviews and pre-planning meetings to provide essential data from the land bid stage through to the Permission to Proceed (PTP) process.
The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute professional with a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent professional qualification, and a proven track record within a national housebuilder.
