Required background: Main Contracting
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor on a permanent basis for an exciting residential development project in South East London.
This is an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile scheme, working for a contractor with a solid reputation for delivering high-quality residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial and cost management activities for a residential development
- Manage procurement, subcontractor packages, and contract administration
- Oversee valuations, payments, cost reporting, and final accounts
- Liaise closely with project teams, clients, and external consultants
- Ensure commercial objectives are met efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, ideally with a main contractor
- Strong background in residential construction projects
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Confident working across both office and site environments
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members
