Required background: Housebuilding
We are working on behalf of a well-established architectural practice to appoint a Senior Architectural Technologist to their London team. This is a key technical role suited to a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in residential delivery and a high level of proficiency in Revit. You’ll be joining a collaborative team working on complex, design-led projects from early stages through to site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical delivery across residential and mixed-use projects, primarily at RIBA stages 3–5.
- Coordinate detailed design, technical documentation, and construction packages.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK building regulations, NHBC standards, and technical compliance.
- Review and resolve site queries, oversee technical quality, and support contract administration.
- Mentor junior technologists and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in architectural technology, ideally within the residential sector.
- MCIAT or working toward chartership preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Revit is essential – must have delivered projects in a BIM environment.
- Strong understanding of UK construction methods, building regs, and technical standards.
- Experience producing coordinated tender and construction drawing packages.
- Confident in consultant coordination, specification writing, and technical problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
