Progression to Senior Role | Long-Term Flagship Scheme | Competitive Package
We are seeking an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take the next step toward a Senior QS position. This is a rare opportunity to join a major residential development as the right-hand support to the Commercial Lead, gaining hands-on responsibility and structured progression.
The Project
You will be joining the team delivering a landmark development in Hertford, consisting of:
- 420 RC Frame apartments across 6 blocks (up to 5 storeys)
- 29 traditionally built houses
- Programme running until April 2030
- Currently at procurement stage
This is an exceptional long-term opportunity to develop your senior-level capability on a large-scale scheme, working cradle-to-grave.
Key Responsibilities:
You will play a key role in procurement, commercial control and subcontract management across the development, including:
- Procuring major trade packages such as:
- Drylining
- Facades
- M&E
- Scaffolding
- Brickwork
- Balconies
- Metalwork
- Managing subcontractor relationships through the full build lifecycle
- Supporting and mentoring a junior team member
- Working closely with the Commercial Lead to ensure commercial success
About You:
- Currently operating at Intermediate QS level
- Extensive procurement experience
- Worked on large-scale residential or mixed-use schemes
- Understanding of project delivery from cradle to grave
- Enjoys being a key part of a collaborative commercial team
