Our client is looking to strengthen their strategic land team with a driven and ambitious Planner. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the planning process for new-build projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will be MRTPI chartered, with a strong ability to navigate planning regulations and policies, ensuring compliance whilst collaborating with key stakeholders to drive timely, successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement planning strategies for new build projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and local regulations.
- Liaise with local authorities, planning committees, and other regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permissions and approvals.
- Ensure all projects adhere to planning laws and environmental guidelines.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the planning process.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications, including detailed plans, reports, and environmental assessments.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to planning activities, monitoring expenditures to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Research the planning history of development sites and provide appropriate advice.
- Identify landowners of potential development sites and liaise with landowners/agents throughout the negotiation and acquisition process to ensure successful completion.
- Negotiation of options with landowners and agents.
