We are working with a leading, fast-growing independent hotel group based in London, renowned for offering unique, well-located, and affordably priced hotels that reflect the character and spirit of their local communities to onboard a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee and implement effective safety protocols and programs on construction sites.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of proven experience in construction safety management, excellent knowledge of industry regulations, and the ability to lead a safety-first culture across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA/ISO standards).
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
  • Deliver safety induction and training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including audits and inspections.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and campaigns.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to coordinate HSE efforts.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, etc.).
  • 5 to 8 years of HSE experience in the construction industry (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects).
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk control.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites or teams.
