We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic main contractor team in Greenwich. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the completion of a £10 million new build project.
Role Overview
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be site-based, ensuring the smooth delivery of this prestigious project. You’ll manage project finances, oversee valuations, liaise with stakeholders, and provide accurate cost reporting to drive the project’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
- Conduct regular valuations and cost reporting.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Mitigate risks and resolve disputes efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within main contractor roles.
- Strong understanding of new build projects, preferably at similar value (£10m).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Available for an immediate start and able to commit for 6 months.
