We’re working with a highly respected residential developer with a fantastic reputation—not only for building high-quality traditional build homes, but also for being an employer of choice. They are seeking a proactive and driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Commercial team.
About the Role:
You’ll be working closely with a Commercial Manager on a live phase of approximately 60 traditional build housing units based in Paddock Wood. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience on site, with the added benefit of collaborating with the wider commercial team from their Surrey-based office once a week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with cost planning, procurement, valuations, and final accounts
- Supporting the Commercial Manager in subcontractor management and payments
- Assisting in maintaining financial control of the project from start to finish
- Ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting
- Attending site and office meetings as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within residential construction
- A relevant degree or working towards one (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
- Willingness to travel to site in Paddock Wood and office in Surrey
